Hyde Park

London
London is famous for its green areas. Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in central London and also the most popular. This Royal Park of London is divided in two by the artificial Serpentine Lake and it sits alongside Kensington Gardens.

Although you probably wont get to see the whole park in just one visit you should try to see some of the following areas of interest in the park such as Speakers Corner, Diana Princess of Wales Memorial and the bizarre upside down tree – if nothing else its a botanical sensation!

Hyde Park is a popular venue for concerts, with legendary groups such as Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queen all having played here. Every summer it is also the location for one of London’s main (not to mention) music gig, O2 in the Park.

There is something for everyone is this park, activities including rollerblading, rowing, horse riding, eating out and playgrounds can all be enjoyed here.

Why not just take some time out from the hustle and bustle of the city and sit and relax with both tourists and locals alike.

And here’s the good news! Hyde Park is very easy to reach and has no less than five underground stations around the parks entrances, these include Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge, Queensway, Lancaster Gate and Marble Arch tube stations.
