Kensington Gardens is home to Kensington Palace, and sits alongside Hyde Park. The park covers over 270 acres of Londons city centre. The gardens are very popular for walking and jogging, and some find these gardens more relaxing than Hyde Park
As one of the Royal Parks of London, there are many guided walks and exhibitions held here throughout the year.
Attractions to be seen here include Kensington Palace, the former home of Princess Diana, the Albert Memorial, a bronze statue of Peter Pan and the Serpentine Gallery.
One of the newest features of Kensington Gardens is the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Playground, which has a Peter Pan theme. The park also has Long Water, and a large lake, the Round Pond, which is a popular spot to drive remote control boats, for kids of all ages.
