Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus one of London’s best know landmarks. For those of you who don’t know what it is it is where five very busy streets meet. London’s most famous traffic intersection is situated in London’s West End and was built way back in 1819 to connect Regent Street with the major shopping street of Piccadilly.

The Circus as its known to locals, is very close to central London’s major shopping and entertainment areas and Soho, Chinatown, Shaftesbury Avenue and Trafalgar Square are all within walking distance from here too.

The Circus is a major tourist attract in its own right, known for its video displays and neon signs, you may even recognise the Shaftesbury memorial fountain and the statue of Eros from postcards or films!

Piccadilly Circus is surrounded by distinguished buildings like the London Pavilion and the Criterion Theatre. Directly underneath is Piccadilly Circus tube station.

Not near a tube station? Fear not as you can also reach the Circus by various bus routes around the city including 3, 6, 9, 12, 14, 15, 38, 66 and 159.
