Regents Park

London
Regent’s Park is another of London’s Royal Parks. The architect John Nash designed the park, which covers over 166 acres, in 1811.

The Park is the largest outdoor sports arena in London and offers a wide variety of sporting activities such as tennis, cricket, rounder’s, and it also has an athletics track and football, rugby and hockey pitches. Boating is carried out on the main lake and there are various children’s playgrounds within the park. So your spoilt for choice here!

As well as sports activities, the park can boast an open air theatre and its also home to the London Zoo. If you get a little peckish here the park is home to many cafes and restaurants too.

If you’re looking for a romantic spot within the park it doesn’t get much more romantic than the stunning rose gardens with over 400 varieties and 30,000 roses.

Regents Park is open daily from 5am and closes at dusk all year round. The nearest tube stations are Regents Park, Great Portland Street and Baker Street. Many buses pass the park from all around the city and parking is available on the outer and inner circles of the park.
